Although a couple hours drive from Tucson, this event is so unique that we just had to add it to the list!
Take yourself back to the 16th Century, in a European village market where you celebrate the arrival of the King and Queen to their shire. Their Royal Highnesses have just ordered the entire Village of Fairhaven to eat, drink, and be merry. Eat a giant roasted turkey leg, play the most exciting games, and mingle around with over 2,000 costumed characters in a Raucous Revelry.
This festival sports a medieval amusement park where you can witness shows in a 16-stage theater, a 50-acre circus, cheer for your favorite knight in the jousting tournament, enjoy laid back arts and crafts fair, and an old-fashioned feast. It’s the perfect wheelchair-accessible place to spend a day-long adventure.
